I often get asked, “What happens to my credit after a short sale?” I got a message this morning from a past Roseville short sale client. Here’s her take:
Hey Allan! I just wanted to send you a message and let you know that after the whole house ordeal, with the house in Roseville, less than 2 years later our credit it perfect. When we were at the car dealership on Friday buying our car we asked to see our credit report. All of the delinquent payments from the Roseville house were reported “settled” instead of “delinquent” and our credit scores were in the high 600’s and low 700’s. Anyway, I thought you should know since others may be in the same boat we were, wondering about their credit!
A short sale can be a scary thing, but it is used as a tool to make you more financially stable in the near future. Short sales have helped a lot of my clients get a clean slate!
